Plain-language answers to what we collect, why, and what we do with it — including how we use AI and digital call assistants. Effective August 6, 2026.

01

Who we are

BIAT P&P LLC (“BIAT,” “we,” “us”) is a technology studio based in St. Louis, Missouri, building websites, CRM systems, and business automation. This policy describes what information we collect through biat.dev and our client communications, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the ways prospective and current clients contact us, including phone calls.

02

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit our contact form, request a consultation, email us, or call us, we receive what you share — typically your name, email address, phone number, company, and details about your project, budget, or timeline.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you found us. We also use Cloudflare Turnstile on our forms to tell humans from bots.

The CRM demo stays on your device. Our interactive demo at /demo runs entirely in your browser. Anything you do there — projects you add, notes you write — is stored only in your browser's local storage and is never uploaded to us.

03

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • Respond to inquiries and consultation requests, and follow up on them
  • Scope, propose, deliver, and support client projects
  • Understand how our website performs and improve it
  • Protect our forms and infrastructure from abuse
  • Meet legal, accounting, and contractual obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

04

AI and digital call assistants

We build automation for a living, and we use it in our own front office. Inbound phone calls to BIAT may be answered or assisted by an AI-powered digital call assistant. When that happens, the assistant may greet you, ask what you're calling about, answer common questions, take a message, or help schedule a call with our team.

Calls handled this way may be recorded and transcribed so we can route your inquiry correctly, follow up accurately, and improve how the assistant works. Transcripts and summaries may be processed by third-party AI service providers acting on our behalf, and may be stored alongside your inquiry in our systems. We review AI-generated summaries rather than relying on them blindly, and a real person handles every substantive decision about your project.

If you'd rather not talk to an assistant, just say so on the call or ask for a callback — you can always reach a human. You can also skip the phone entirely and email us at hello@biat.dev. We may also use AI tools to help draft responses to written inquiries and to triage messages; the same principle applies: people review, people decide.

05

Service providers we rely on

We use a small set of infrastructure providers to run the site and our communications. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

  • Vercel — website hosting and delivery
  • Amazon Web Services (SES) — sending the emails behind our contact forms
  • Google Analytics — aggregate website usage measurement
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on forms
  • AI voice and transcription providers — inbound call assistance, as described above

These providers process data under their own security and privacy commitments. We do not control their independent practices, and links from our site to third-party services are governed by those services' policies.

06

Retention and security

We keep inquiry and project records for as long as they're useful for the purposes above — typically for the life of a client relationship plus the period our legal and accounting obligations require — and delete or anonymize them after that. Call recordings and transcripts are kept only as long as needed to handle and document the inquiry.

We protect data in transit with encryption (HTTPS), limit access to people who need it, and use reputable providers for storage and processing. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your information the way we'd want ours treated.

07

Your choices and rights

  • Ask us what information we hold about you, and request a copy
  • Ask us to correct or delete your information
  • Opt out of analytics with standard browser tools or Google's opt-out browser add-on
  • Decline AI call assistance and request a human, at any time, on any call

To exercise any of these, email hello@biat.dev. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we honor reasonable requests regardless of jurisdiction.

08

Children

Our site and services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

09

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and its effective date. Continued use of the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
